Irish Funds Member Update Spring 2023

New Members Welcome

A warm welcome to our most recent new members in 2023: Ballybunion Capital, B-Flexion, fscom, K&L Gates, Neuberger Berman, and Temenos Multifonds. Our association is the voice of the funds and asset management industry in Ireland and represents 150 member companies.

Irish Funds Members Council and 2023 Strategy

In February the Irish Funds Members Council and Executive met with senior representatives from member firms and discussed the key pillars of the work the Association is undertaking on behalf of members. These included advocacy, the capabilities needed to support investors and our evolving industry, talent and how we engage with members and other stakeholders.

Council members are elected for a three-year term and the Chairperson is selected from amongst the members of Council and serves for a one-year term. Council sets the strategy and direction of the Association and engages with members on key funds and asset management topics, initiatives and a wide range of areas.

Working Groups 2023 Update

The Irish Funds Executive and Members Council would like to extend our sincere thanks to Working and Steering Group Chairs and Vice Chairs and all WG/SG participants for their enormous commitment during the past two years to both driving industry achievements and thought leadership initiatives. Their efforts have been invaluable in promoting effective collaboration and information sharing across our industry ecosystem. Irish Funds and our industry could not achieve as much without the collaborative efforts of our members. Read more.

We recently introduced the new structure with information on Project, Specialist and Working Groups and sent nominations forms and information to the designated Primary Contacts at full member firms. The deadline was on 24 March and we will be communicating the outcome of the nominations process in the coming weeks.

Current Working Groups will run until the new groups are in place and take over, which we expect around end of April/early May.

We look forward to working with the new Project, Specialist and Working Groups in our reorganised 2023 Working Group Structure over the coming 24 months.

Annual Conference 2023 - Thursday, 18 May

The Irish Funds Annual Global Funds Conference will take place in-person on Thursday, 18 May at an all-new venue - The Dublin Royal Convention Centre. This event is a highlight in the international funds and asset management industry calendar and attracts a wide range of participants from across the international investment funds community.

This year's conference will focus on the core themes of Trust, Capability and Innovation, three fundamental pillars on which the funds industry in Ireland has been built.

The agenda will include thought-provoking and informative presentations, keynote talks and panel discussions from internationally respected industry experts, while a full day of networking opportunities will run alongside the agenda in the exhibition area.
