Watch the Video: Showcase of the Irish Funds Transition Year Programme

On Thursday, 24 May at the Irish Funds Annual Global Funds Conference,  we were proud to showcase the Irish Funds Financial Literacy TY Programme. The Irish Funds TY Programme is a robust, modular, interactive programme covering financial literacy, digital finance, sustainable investing, and life competencies delivered in the classroom by our lead facilitator Eibhlin Johnston and industry volunteers.

In her address to the conference, Commissioner Mairead McGuinness raised the importance of financial literacy, where she highlighted the Commission’s vision to ensure that people throughout Europe have the knowledge and skills to make good financial decisions. Financial literacy is key to empowering individuals and Irish Funds is committed to championing financial literacy from an early age.

In the current academic year, the programme was delivered to a diverse population of over 600 students in 18 schools across 10 counties, a few of those students from Woodbrook College joined us with their teacher at the conference to receive their certificates.

We would like to thank Deloitte, who came on board this year as sponsors to the Irish Funds Financial Literacy Programme and supported further development and roll-out of the programme, championing financial literacy education across Ireland.

Special thanks to our industry volunteers who entered the classrooms and shared their expertise and knowledge with the students.

We hope you enjoy our TY Programme video,  which will give an insight into how the students,  teachers and industry leads felt about the programme.

If you would like to get involved in the programme for the next academic year, please email Irish Funds at typrogramme@irishfunds.ie.
