Become an Industry Volunteer with the Irish Funds Financial Literacy TY Programme
Tuesday, 30 June 2026
Irish Funds is now looking volunteers for the 2026/2027 Financial Literacy Transition Year Programme, which helps students across Ireland develop essential knowledge and skills for their future.
The programme supports TY students in building their understanding of topics including financial literacy, digital finance, sustainable investing and practical life skills, while also providing valuable insights into careers in the funds industry and wider financial services sector.
Volunteering offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in local communities, inspire young people, and share professional experience with the next generation. Participants also have the chance to develop their own presentation, communication and engagement skills while connecting with colleagues from across the industry.
Last year, in partnership with programme sponsor Deloitte and with the support of volunteers from 25 member firms, the programme reached more than 800 students across 30 schools in 17 counties nationwide.
We are delighted to welcome expressions of interest from both new and returning volunteers for the upcoming programme.
Watch the video below, where Patricia Byrne of Northern Trust shares her experience as a volunteer and explains why she would encourage others to get involved.
