Sustainathon 2022: Winning Team Announced

Congratulations to Sean Hodgins, Rafaela Nascimento, Alfie Connolly, Maebh Ni Ghallchobhair, and their mentor Eoin Hallissey for their winning pitch: Scope Me.

Their presentation centred on tailoring a carbon calculator specific to the funds and asset management industry. The team put forward ideas, plans and timelines on implementation, including incentives for both individuals and firms to participate. They envisioned their solution complementing the Green Pledge announced by the Green Team Network last year. We look forward to following their progress.

A huge well done to all the teams that participated. The pitches were phenomenal and it was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm as well as practical solutions put forward in one room.

The Grant Thornton Irish Funds Sustainathon 2022 brought professionals and students from across the industry together to participate in a two-day workshop taking place during Climate Finance Week 2022 and aimed to identify measures that the Irish funds industry can implement to help realise the objectives of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
