Schools in Action: A Busy Month for Irish Funds Financial Literacy Programme

The Irish Funds Financial Literacy Programme has completed a busy and successful period, with seven schools across five counties recently completing their programme sessions. The milestone highlights the importance of regionalisation within Ireland’s funds and asset management industry.

Irish Funds extends its sincere thanks to programme sponsor Deloitte for its continued support.

The following schools completed the programme over recent weeks:

  • Coláiste Éinde, Galway

  • Loreto Clonmel, Tipperary

  • Loreto Letterkenny, Donegal

  • Drimnagh Castle Secondary School, Dublin

  • Hansfield Educate Together Secondary School, Dublin

  • CUS Leeson Street, Dublin

  • Gaelcholáiste Mhuire, Cork

This year, Hansfield Educate Together Secondary School also benefited from a grant under the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission’s (CCPC) Our Money, Our Future initiative as part of Global Money Week 2026. This milestone reflects the continued expansion of the initiative nationwide and underscores the importance of regional engagement within Ireland’s funds and asset management industry.

The programme continues to build momentum. This week, volunteers commenced delivery in Presentation College, Carlow. Following the midterm break, sessions will take place in:

  • Coláiste Chiaráin, Athlone, Roscommon

  • Sandymount Educate Together, Dublin

  • Loreto Navan, Meath

  • Davis College, Cork

  • CBS Roscommon, Roscommon

Financial literacy plays a critical role in empowering young people with the knowledge and confidence to manage their money effectively. The programme equips students with essential life skills, helping to foster greater financial security and informed decision-making.

Huge thanks to the dedicated industry volunteers whose expertise and enthusiasm make the initiative possible. Their commitment ensures students across Ireland gain meaningful exposure to financial education and the funds industry.
