Announcing: Our 4 Finalist Teams of the Grant Thornton Irish Funds Sustainathon 2020

Each team will pitch their idea to a Dragon's Den. The guidelines are 10 minutes max of a pitch, with 15 minutes of Q&A. This will be held over zoom. After the pitch sessions, the dragons are to identify the winning entry, which will be announced week commencing 22nd of June.

Recap

The Sustainathon is a collaborative event aimed at creating solutions to the sustainability challenges faced by the Irish Funds Industry. This was the first year of this event, and there has been a high level of interest and momentum behind this initiative.

14 entries were submitted, with over 40 companies and 4 colleges represented.

Teams were asked to assess and identify achievable and impactful steps that the Irish Funds Industry could take to address the sustainability challenges faced by the Industry. Solutions covered Policy, Process, Innovation, Technology and Empowerment.

The 14 submissions were reviewed by a panel, which comprises of:

  • Niamh Murray (Pinsent Masons)
  • Faye Walsh Drouillard (WakeUp Capital)
  • Kieran Fox (Irish Funds)
  • Brian O’Dwyer and Brian Murphy (GT)

The panel met over 2 days, and took a consensus approach to identifying the finalists to bring forward to the Dragons Den.
