Speaking about his appointment, Nicholas Blake-Knox said:
“I am immensely proud to have been appointed as Chair of Irish Funds. I have always placed great value on Irish Funds’ role as the voice of the funds and asset management industry in Ireland. Our industry is a recognised global leader in serving the needs of investors and savers from around the world, resulting in significant employment all around Ireland through high skilled, knowledge-based roles. We must ensure that the environment here is agile and responsive to the changing needs of the investors we serve, and that Ireland remains a place where careers can grow and develop. There is great pride in what our industry does, we are very ambitious, and we recognise the increasingly competitive international environment in which our member firms operate. I look forward to working on behalf of Irish Funds and our members with all our stakeholders domestically and in the EU.”
Irish Funds CEO, Pat Lardner said:
“We are delighted to announce Nick as the incoming Chair, and Andrea as Vice-Chair and extend our best wishes to them for a successful year ahead. Our directly elected Council is the voice of our 150+ member firms whose expertise and strength we draw on to ensure Ireland is the premier location to enable global investing through its reputation for trust, capability and innovation. We also express our thanks to Colm McDonagh for his contribution as Chair over the past year and to another past Chair, Eoin FitzGerald of BBH, who retires from Council having completed his term."
We look forward to continuing our close work together and extend our best wishes to them for a successful year ahead.
