Meeting with Minister Robert Troy on Finance Bill Priorities - Constructive Discussions on DWT Exemption, Anti-Reverse Hybrid Rules and the Domestic Tax Regime
Tuesday, 23 September 2025
Irish Funds met with Minister Robert Troy and representatives from the Department of Finance, focusing on key priorities for the upcoming Finance Bill.
The meeting centred on:
Introducing a dividend withholding tax exemption for Investment Limited Partnerships (ILPs)
Updating anti-reverse-hybrid rules
Reviewing the domestic tax regime for Irish citizens investing in funds
These measures are essential for supporting the continued development of Ireland’s private assets regime, enhancing our competitiveness as a leading international financial services centre, and meeting the evolving needs of investors and the broader economy.
We appreciate the opportunity to engage directly with Minister Troy and the Department of Finance, and to advocate for the sector as we work together to shape the future of Ireland’s funds and asset management industry.
Irish Funds was represented by Council Chair Andrea Kelly, along with Declan Casey and Conor Kilroy from the policy team.
