Leading Voices: Irish Funds Attends EFAMA Tokenisation Conference

Irish Funds joined industry leaders at EFAMA’s first-ever Tokenisation Conference, Redefining Assets: Tokenisation and the Future of Investment, held at the Sofitel in Brussels. The event marked a pivotal moment for Europe’s asset management community, bringing together experts and innovators to explore the transformative potential of distributed ledger technology (DLT) and tokenisation.
Ruth Fairclough of Irish Funds shared key updates from Ireland’s rapidly evolving DLT ecosystem, including recent engagement with the Central Bank of Ireland. She highlighted the growing regulatory optimism around tokenisation, echoing sentiments expressed by Deputy Governor McMunn in recent speeches at the Irish Funds Annual Conference and the Fintech Summit.
John Burrowes, Chair of the Irish Funds Digital Assets Working Group, moderated a compelling global perspectives session, drawing insights from international leaders on the future of digital assets.

Peter Kerstens (DG FISMA) delivered a keynote on the EU’s vision for a “renaissance in competitiveness.”
Holger Neuhaus (European Central Bank) provided an exciting update on the progress of the digital euro.
