Launch of the First Women in Finance Charter Annual Report

The first Ireland's Women in Finance Charter Annual Report was published this morning with Minister of State Dr. Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD launching the report in her keynote address at an event welcoming Charter signatories and supporting industry organisations.

The Annual Report produced by the Economic & Social Research Institute (ESRI) highlighted that:

  • The Charter seeks to improve female representation in financial services firms

  • Charter signatories report female representation on boards increased from 32% to 37% between January 2022 and Jan 2023

  • Female representation on executive committees increased from 32% to 35%

The event also included an address from the Charter’s Steering Group Chair Patricia Callan and a presentation from the Charter’s Data Partner, the ESRI.

Ireland’s Women in Finance Charter underpins the financial services industry’s ambition to see increased participation of women at all levels, including junior, middle and senior management, leadership and board roles within financial services organisations based in Ireland.
