The closing date is fast approaching for application to the Professional Diploma in Applied Alternative Investments, Professional Certificate in Designated Persons and Professional Certificate in Capital Market, Investment and Funds programmes.

The Distribution Function within Fund Management Companies Masterclass is also now open for registration.

Professional Diploma in Applied Alternative Investments 
This programme provides a unique opportunity to gain a UCD post-graduate qualification in applied alternative investments. It will advance your knowledge and understanding of valuation issues relevant to alternative investments, legal and regulatory considerations and long-term trends in the alternatives arena.

Students will study one module commencing in October 2024 followed by two modules commencing in January 2025, completing the programme in May 2025. IFS Skillnet funding is also available for the programme.

Professional Certificate in Designated Persons

The Professional Certificate for Designated Persons in a Fund Management Company was introduced to support the development of individuals in Designated Person roles, or those who aspire to these roles. It is also relevant to individuals who support Designated Persons and to other professionals in Fund Management Companies. 

The Professional Certificate for Designated Persons in a Fund Management Company has been carefully designed to equip professionals in the funds industry with the necessary competence to fill DP roles and is the only accredited qualification at this level.

Professional Certificate in Capital Markets, Investments and Funds

The Professional Certificate in Capital Markets, Investments and Funds is designed to deepen your knowledge of the drivers of performance of capital markets and of capital market products, the settlement and trade life cycles, regulations, and the importance of risk management and operational robustness in the funds and asset management sector. The programme is targeted at the funds and asset management industry, bringing together all the major areas of requisite knowledge required for portfolio and risk management processes within the funds and investment environment.

Masterclass – The Distribution Function within Fund Management Companies
Following the successful running of the Distribution masterclasses in 2022 and 2023, IOB are delighted to announce a further delivery of this short programme. The Distribution Functions within Irish Fund Management Companies masterclass will be delivered fully online, once a week over three consecutive weeks from 4pm to 7pm, commencing next Wednesday, 18 September 2024 and then on Wednesday, 25 September and Wednesday, 2 October 2024. The programme fee is €295.
