Irish Funds Publishes Five Position Papers on EU Market Integration and Supervision Package
Monday, 15 June 2026
Irish Funds has published five position papers setting out our positions on the European Commission’s proposed Market Integration and Supervision Package (MISP), providing detailed analysis and legislative recommendations across key areas of the proposals.
The position papers cover five core themes: delegation, supervision, distribution (authorisation and marketing), distributed ledger technology (DLT), and the depositary passport.
Developed through extensive engagement with our members and specialist Working Groups, the papers outline our positions alongside detailed legislative mark-ups designed to support a proportionate, effective and future-focused regulatory framework for Europe’s investment funds sector.
As the European Parliament’s consideration of the MISP proposals progresses, Irish Funds is actively engaging with EU and national policymakers to contribute constructively to the legislative debate. This comes at a significant stage in the process, with rapporteur reports scheduled for presentation to the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) on 2 July and amendments due by 16 July.
These position papers form part of our ongoing advocacy work on behalf of members, supporting the development of a more integrated, efficient and competitive European funds landscape.
Irish Funds extends its sincere thanks to our Working Groups and members whose expertise, insight and collaboration were instrumental in the development of these papers.
The full set of position papers is available to Irish Funds members through the Member Portal.
