Ireland Captures 58% of European Fund Net Inflows in First Half of 2026

Ireland's funds and asset management industry continued its strong growth trajectory in the first half of 2026, with new analysis of Central Bank of Ireland, EFAMA and ETFBOOK data highlighting the country's leading position within the European investment funds landscape.

As of 30 June 2026, net assets under management in Irish-domiciled funds reached €6.3 trillion, representing 14.5% growth over the six-month period. Ireland also attracted 58% of all European fund net inflows during the first half of the year, underlining its continued appeal as a global hub for investment funds.

The data further reflects that Ireland remains the dominant domicile for exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in Europe, with 72% of European-domiciled ETF assets based in Ireland. The figures reinforce Ireland's position as the fastest-growing major European fund domicile and demonstrate the resilience and international competitiveness of the sector.

Ireland's success continues to be driven by a combination of industry expertise, innovation, international connectivity and constructive regulatory engagement. Together, these strengths have helped create a dynamic ecosystem that supports a broad range of global investment strategies and products.

Looking ahead, the industry is well positioned to capitalize on emerging opportunities across ETFs, private assets, tokenisation and next-generation financial infrastructure. As global investment markets continue to evolve, Ireland remains at the forefront of innovation and is playing an increasingly important role in shaping the future of asset management.
