Get Involved: Sustainathon 2022 Workshop - 19 - 20 October

The Grant Thornton Irish Funds Sustainathon 2022 is fast approaching and will be taking place on 19 & 20 October.

This year's Sustainathon will be a workshop open to all funds and asset management industry participants and is an opportunity for professionals to meet and share ideas on how our industry can support and progress solutions related to climate action.

Sustainathon Workshop Details

• When: Wednesday, 19 October (9am-5pm) and Thursday, 20 October (9am-3pm).

• Where: Grant Thornton Dublin office - 13-18, City Quay, Dublin Docklands, Dublin, D02 ED70

• Workshop Day 1: Following presentations and networking, participants will be grouped into teams to brainstorm solutions for financial centres to increase their industry commitments regarding UN Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action. There will be facilitators on hand to help guide teams.

• Workshop Day 2: Teams will present their ideas to a panel of judges.

• Post-Workshop: The winning team will have access to Grant Thornton Ireland resources to develop their idea and present their solution at the Irish Funds Annual Global Funds Conference in 2023.

Further Background

The 2020 winning team established the Green Team Network to provide a forum to connect and empower Irish funds and asset management industry firms to support change towards a more sustainable environment. Since then, they have hosted 9 virtual and 3 in-person events and their website provides resources on sustainability in the workplace, community and at home.
