Financial Literacy in Action at St. Oliver's Drogheda

We had a fantastic final session this morning at St. Oliver’s Community College in Drogheda, Co. Louth, as part of the Irish Funds Financial Literacy Programme. We were delighted to welcome Ged Nash TD, who joined the class to present the awards and celebrate the students’ commitment to building their financial knowledge and life skills.

The session was led by Jim Meegan from our programme sponsor Deloitte, alongside Declan Casey and Conor McGuinness from Irish Funds. Ged Nash and Declan Casey both spoke to the students about the importance of financial literacy and the career opportunities that exist in the funds and asset management industry in Ireland. Students also had the opportunity to check on their progress of their Financial Times portfolios and also built on their learning of financial literacy, digital finance and life competencies.

Celebrating School Achievements

We’re thrilled to congratulate the following schools on completing the programme:

  • St. Peter’s College, Dunboyne (Meath)

  • Sandymount Educate Together Secondary School (Dublin)

  • Loreto Secondary School, Bray (Wicklow)

We’re now looking forward to our final session of the year at Blackrock College (Dublin) next week, where we’ll wrap up another successful cycle of this impactful initiative.
