Calling all Industry Volunteers: Irish Funds Transition Year Financial Literacy Programme 2025/26

As we expand the Irish Funds Transition Year Financial Literacy Programme for the 2025/2026 academic year to new schools, we are seeking additional industry volunteers from member firms to facilitate the programme.  

Why Volunteer?

By taking part, you will be helping to improve financial literacy at a younger age, empowering students to make better choices about their financial wellbeing and promoting an awareness of our industry as a potential and attractive career.

About the Programme

The programme is delivered in the classroom in six interactive sessions and built around key pillars, including financial literacy, essential life skills, and real-world insights into investment funds and asset management delivered by industry volunteers. It also explores emerging areas such as digital assets and sustainable investing, ensuring participants gain both foundational knowledge and exposure to the latest industry developments.

What Volunteers Do?

As a funds and asset management industry expert, you will deliver the programme with another industry volunteer, providing real-life industry examples and insights into your learning / career journey. 

‘Train the Trainer’ training will be provided to all industry volunteers.

Time Commitment and Dates

The programme has launched already in schools and will continue until May 2026. The time commitment for volunteers is:

• 90-minute virtual ‘Train the Trainer’ session in September 2025.

• 30-45 minutes preparation and planning time in advance of each session

• 6 hours in the classroom delivering 6 modules in 2025/6.

• Travel time to the school (this will depend on the location).
