Call for Industry Volunteers to Support the Irish Funds TY Financial Literacy Programme

Irish Funds is inviting industry members to volunteer for the delivery of our Financial Literacy Transition Year (TY) Programme, which introduces students to essential financial topics — including saving, budgeting, digital finance, sustainable investing, and financial well-being — through the perspective of the funds and asset management industry.

This successful programme is designed to give students practical knowledge and confidence in managing money and understanding investment concepts, helping to build long-term financial wellbeing.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are seeking industry volunteers to assist in delivering the 6-hour programme in schools across Ireland, starting in the new year.

We’re particularly looking for support in the following locations:

  • January: Dublin 15, Dublin City Centre, Cork City

  • February: Meath (Navan)

  • March: North Dublin (Balbriggan), Roscommon, Offaly (Edenderry)

Programme Highlights
  • 23 schools participating in the 2024/2025 academic year across 14 counties

  • Over 1,700 students reached to date, thanks to the incredible support of our industry volunteers

  • Operating nationwide

Improving financial literacy is one of the most powerful ways to help people gain greater security, control, and understanding of their money and savings. We are proud to bring these sessions directly to classrooms across Ireland.

A special thank you to our sponsor, Deloitte for their continued support in making this programme a success.
