Applied Alternative Investment Programme - Postgraduate Taster Lecture

The Institute of Banking is hosting a taster lecture for the Professional Diploma in Applied Alternative Investments on Thursday, 21 June 2018. This event is free to attend and is an ideal opportunity for anyone considering postgraduate study to get a taste of what a programme lecture would be like.

Taster lecture: Alternative Investments - major changes in the investment landscape and Ireland's new global role

Time: 8 – 9am (registration, tea/coffee and networking from 7.30am) 

Location: The Institute of Banking, 1 North Wall Quay, Dublin 1 (inside the Citi Building).

Event Overview 

Kevin McConnell FCA, Programme Director for the Professional Diploma in Applied Alternative Investments, will give attendees a taste of the Professional Diploma in Applied Alternative Investments.

After a decade of momentum toward alternative investments, how will a higher interest rate environment impact the asset allocation decision? How will the alternative investment landscape evolve and where are the key growth areas?

Post-Brexit, Ireland's financial services sector will face one of its biggest challenges, but also the most important opportunity to expand its reach in alternative assets.
