Yvonne is a Principal with Carne Global Financial Services Limited and CEO of Carne’s Irish business. Carne employs 180 people across 9 global locations and is a governance and substance provider for asset managers with $700 billion in Assets Under Management. Yvonne is currently Chair of Irish Funds Council, the official representative body for the Irish investment fund industry. She also acts as a Chairman and Director to traditional funds, hedge funds and management companies domiciled in Ireland and Cayman. Yvonne has over 25 years’ experience within the funds industry and is a specialist in governance, product development, compliance, financial reporting and operations. She also has experience in assisting fund managers and service providers with various aspects of operational development, control and risk management. She is a recognised expert in back office operations and change management and regularly speaks at fund industry conferences. Prior to joining Carne, Yvonne was Head of Operational Development at State Street (International) Ireland (formerly Deutsche Bank), where she looked after new business take on, product development, system implementation and change management. As a member of the senior management team at State Street, Yvonne reported directly to the CEO and was a key contributor to the overall strategy and direction of the business. Yvonne trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG, specialising in corporate taxation. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Yvonne is a member of multiple industry associations including Irish Funds, the Institute of Directors in Ireland, 100 Women in Finance and the 30% Club.
Alan O'Sullivan is a Managing Director and Head of European Business Development for Brown Brothers Harriman. Alan also serves as a Director of the BBH Fund Administration Services (Ireland) and BBH Luxembourg Fund (SICAV). Alan has been with Brown Brothers Harriman for 20 years and has held a number of senior positions within the Relationship Excellence Division, both in Boston and Dublin. Alan is a graduate of University College Dublin and is one of the initial groups that qualified in the Certified Investment Fund Directors Programme at the Institute of Bankers in Ireland. Alan is currently a member of Council of Irish Funds and serves as Chair of the Industry body for 2016/2017.
Allison is Vice President and Counsel at State Street Global Advisors. With 15 years of experience in the asset management industry, she provides legal advice and counsel across SSGA's global products and services regarding global distribution and marketing matters, including cross listings, local registrations, licensing and private offerings. Allison provides general support to SSGA’s business with respect to the implementation of new global regulations and ensuring that a global business perspective is applied to the integration of local regulatory requirements.
Previously, Allison was an attorney with Dechert LLP where she advised asset manager clients on the global distribution of 40 Act funds, private funds, UCITS and separate account services and managed the legal content of Dechert's 'World Compass' web-based subscription service. She began her career in 2004 as a member of SSGA’s Institutional Sales team.
Allison received her BA in Government from Hamilton College, earned her Juris Doctor with a focus in financial services from Suffolk University Law School and completed a European Business Law certificate program at the University of Dusseldorf, Germany. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
Barbara Cronin is an Irish qualified lawyer based in Dechert's Boston office. Her expertise includes advising on matters both transactional and regulatory relating to the asset management, investment funds, financial services and corporate commercial sectors. Ms. Cronin advises on the establishment, regulation and cross border marketing of investment funds including UCITS and non-UCITS. She previously worked as a securities lending administrator in the asset management industry with leading global banks in both London and Dublin.
Ms. Cronin is a representative of the Irish Funds North America Distribution Working Group.
Eva has extensive experience advising on the establishment, authorisation, operation and maintenance of Irish regulated UCITS and AIFs, including hedge funds, funds of funds, master feeders, private equity funds and managed account platforms. In addition to advising the promoters and investment managers to such funds, she also advises other fund service providers including AIFMs, management companies, prime brokers, administrators and depositaries. She advises global asset managers on a broad range of asset classes and the implementation of strategies through a variety of fund structures.
In addition, she advises and supports clients on all aspects of regulatory change effecting their Irish funds. Her practice also covers the corporate governance, financing and cross-border distribution, management and relocation / redomiciliation of such entities into and out of Ireland.
Declan Byrne is a Partner in PwC LLP’s Asset & Wealth Management practice and is based in Boston. He has over 19 years of wide-ranging experience, and serves global financial services clients helping address the various reporting, operational, regulatory and product challenges and opportunities they face.
Prior to joining PwC’s Boston practice in July 2017, Declan spent time with PwC in Tokyo, New York, Mumbai, Florham Park, and Guernsey. Declan has had a wide spectrum of experiences with PwC as an organization, serving asset management and real estate clients across the product spectrum as well as providing advisory services assisting clients in compliance, internal audit, regulatory, business strategy and M&A. He has extensive experience serving global asset management clients having spent over 3.5 years in PwC Japan covering clients both in Tokyo and the wider Asia. In addition, Declan worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP assurance risk management practice, working with teams and clients from all industries on a diverse range of issues including new service offerings, legal and regulatory matters. Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Declan worked in assurance in both Arthur Andersen and KPMG in Ireland serving clients across the Financial Services, Software, Transportation and Manufacturing sectors. He previously served proactively on the Alternatives and Investment Management Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
Declan is a CPA, licensed in MA, NY, in addition to holding a Chartered Accounting designation from Ireland. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce with honors from University College Cork in Ireland.
Declan also works collaboratively in the community, including MassChallenge, mentoring emerging start up's across a range of industries in the Boston area as well as Citizens Schools, being a coach for their Writing & Mentoring program. He is also a member of the Boston Irish Business Association.
Charles, in his role as Chief Operations Officer of the America’s and EMEA, has direct responsibility for the operations support of all U.S. Mutual Funds and UCITS Funds. He also provides business oversight for all other John Hancock Investment and Manulife Financial Asset Management comingled funds and separately managed accounts.
He currently leads the Global Fund Administration and Transfer Agent teams providing technical, operational and record keeping services.
Charles has 30 years of investment company industry experience and joined John Hancock in June 2007. Before this, Charles was Vice President and Manager, Global Product Services, at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. In this role, Charles was responsible for Goldman’s U.S. registered mutual funds and bank collective trust products.
For eight years, Charles was a Managing Director at Deutsche Asset Management and Scudder Investments, where he worked as department head for fund administration, and provided treasury oversight for all mutual funds. Charles began his career in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP in the Boston and Baltimore offices and was with the firm for 12 years.
Charles is actively involved with the Investment Company Institute (ICI) and currently serves on the Risk Management Committee and Security Lending Working Group. He also serves on ICI’s International Operations Advisory Committee.
Charles is the Co-Chair of the Bentley University Department of Accountancy Advisory Committee.
Andrea is a Director with FundRock Management Company S.A. with over 18 years' experience in the financial services sector. Andrea has held roles ranging from senior operational and client services roles within global and capital markets institutions; to roles in relationship and business development within large European and US fund services providers. Andrea possesses deep domain knowledge of UCITS structures (including Ireland, the UK and Luxembourg), alternative investment vehicles such as QIAIFs, SIFs, Part II Funds; as well as Cayman domiciled products, Irish SPVs and structured funds.
Andrea supports FundRock’s blue chip client base through oversight and management of large complex operating models and has responsibility to protect and generate revenue through building and retaining relationships and marketing the full array of services to complex mutual fund managers.
Based in Ireland, Des is Global Head of Product Development at carne Group. He has over 15 years of experience in senior roles in the funds sector. He works closely with fund clients and regulators on regulatory and listing procedures and has in-depth expertise of day to day fund operations and Irish and EU fund regulations. His experience extends to working with all types of UCITS and AIFs and he has assisted a number of hedge fund managers in launching UCITS products. Des acts as a Director to a number of UCITS and AIF Funds.
Des joined Carne from J.P. Morgan Bank (Ireland) plc, where he was a Vice President in the Bank’s Trust & Fiduciary services division in Dublin, managing a large portfolio of trustee clients, including UCITS and hedge funds managed by both large institutional and boutique managers. Prior to that Des held senior roles in the Irish Stock Exchange including as Listing Manager in the Funds Department, overseeing listing and compliance functions for funds and as an Executive in the corporate finance department. He sat on the Exchange’s policy committee, the Company Law Review Group and worked closely with the Irish Central Bank and EU bodies to adopt new regulations in the funds and securities area. Des was centrally involved in the launch of a number of new markets while at the Exchange. Des began his financial services career with the Trustee Department at Deutsche International in Dublin.
Raj Tanden is a partner and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he represents clients in corporate and tax matters across a broad spectrum of domestic and cross-border transactions. Raj chairs the firm’s New England and Southern California Tax Practices. Raj focuses his practice on investment management transactions, including newly enacted qualified opportunity funds/opportunity zones. He devotes a substantial portion of his practice in assisting sponsors establish tax-efficient investments funds for non-U.S. and tax-exempt investors. Raj also assists private equity funds in M&A transactions.

Sinéad Colreavy, with over 15 years’ experience in the international tax arena, leads our Financial Services Tax Technology and Transformation group – a unique offering in Ireland. In today’s fast-moving economy, organisations are increasingly challenged to meet their multiple tax obligations around the world, often using limited resources. Since developing the iXBRL tax reporting solution for FSO Ireland, Sinead’s solution has evolved and expanded with market needs.
Sinéad uses technology to provide innovative solutions that drive greater efficiency, improve tax processes, manage risk and improve work experience. Sinéad has designed, led and delivered significant outsourcing and tax technology solutions. Through a range of solutions, including a full outsourcing one single contact solution, data analytics and designing tax intelligent robotic automation tools, Sinéad is assisting clients transform how they manage global tax risk and ultimately provide assurance on tax risk to the business.
Sinéad works with a wide range of banking, capital markets and asset management clients assisting and challenging them to think of new ways to manage their local and international tax risk. Her team combines tax technical, accounting, IT and ERP professionals.
Sinéad is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland and Irish Tax Institute. Sinéad participates in two subcommittees of Irish Funds – the International Tax Working Group and ETF Working Group. She is also a member of Basis.Point disbursement committee.
Pat Lardner joined Irish Funds as Chief Executive in April 2012. He has over twenty five years’ experience in the global asset management industry and has held executive/leadership positions in Ireland and overseas with firms managing a broad range of both traditional and alternative investment strategies. Pat is an active participant on all significant Government sponsored groups relating to funds in Ireland, is a member of the Board of the European Fund and Asset Management Association and is an Advisor to the Asset Management Association of China’s International Partners Committee. He is a past Council Member of the Irish Association of Pension Funds and a former Director of both the Irish Association of Investment Managers and the International Investment Funds Association. He attained honours undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from University College Dublin.
