Hong Kong Seminar - Stock Connect: New Opportunities, New Challenges
The Shanghai Hong Kong Stock Connect program is driving significant change within the fund management industry. The market opportunity for funds to invest directly in Chinese A shares is clear with Chinese stock market valuation relative to GDP significantly lower than other countries. We are already witnessing a surge in interest in fund managers adding A share capabilities to existing funds and launching new funds. North and southbound Stock Connect flows are already driving significant Stock Rotation and northbound flows should increase significantly once the issues surrounding UCITS funds are addressed.
In this seminar we will discuss the market opportunities, the current challenges and how the industry is addressing these issues to pave the way for large scale international participation in China’s A share stock markets.
The IFIA would like to thank PwC for hosting this event.
