Kieran Fox joined the Association in August 2007 and is the Director - Business Development for Irish Funds. As well as being responsible for working with investment managers and developing our membership offering, Kieran participates in a number of our steering groups including Distribution, Marketing & Promotion and Front Office and has led engagement on specific regulatory matters. Kieran has a BSc Finance and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Information Systems. Prior to joining us he gained significant experience both in industry and within the regulator. He was a senior regulator and risk specialist with the Central Bank of Ireland for almost two years and prior to this spent seven years in a variety of roles across the front office within the hedge fund industry in London. Kieran represents the Association on the Summit Finuas Network Steering Committee.
Chief Operating Officer, Volt Capital Management AB. Previous positions include Head of Legal and Fund Structuring at RPM Risk & Portfolio Management and Senior Associate at Advokatfirman Vinge in Stockholm specialized in financial services law.
Sverker Akerblom, Director, is a Portfolio Manager with BlackRock's Global Renewable Power platform which currently manages close to $5bn across more than 150 wind and solar projects across 4 continents. Sverker is responsible for originating, executing and managing renewable power investment opportunities in Europe with a particular focus on Northern Europe.
Sverker joined BlackRock in 2011 and is a founding member of the BlackRock Renewable Power and BlackRock Infrastructure platforms. Sverker also established the Renewable Income platform together with other leading members of the team. The platform today manages over $2bn of capital and has invested in over 60 wind and solar assets in the UK and other European markets.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2011, Sverker was a finance and development manager at Tessera Solar, a subsidiary of NTR plc. Previously, Sverker was an analyst in the Energy and Financial Institutions Group at Lazard & Co. in London.
Sverker earned an MSc degree in accounting and financial management from Stockholm School of Economics in 2007.
Sascha Calisan is Senior Vice President and Head, Distribution Support.
Northern Trust’s Fund Distribution Support service supports asset manager clients globally with their cross-border decision-making.
Sascha brings over 20 years’ experience working in a number of global organisations in a variety of product management, strategy and client facing roles.
Sascha joined Northern Trust in 2008 as Product Manager, Fund Administration, EMEA. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Sascha served in various Product and client facing roles at RBC and Morgan Stanley
Sascha earned a BSc Accounting and French from University of Southampton
Stuart Alexander is Co-Founder and Chief Executive of Gemini Investment Management Ltd, authorised and regulated by the FCA, which commenced business in 2009. He is also a Director of Gemini Capital Management (Ireland) Ltd (GemCap) which in 2016 was incorporated in Ireland and approved as a UCITS Management Company (ManCo) by the CBI. He has over 30 years’ experience in the fund management industry and previously was Managing Director, Close Investments (2005-2007), HBOS’s Asset Management, Director (2001–2005), Invesco Fund Managers Ltd, Sales Director (1996–2001), Singer & Friedlander Investment Management Ltd, Director (1992-1996), Morgan Grenfell (1988–1992) and Gartmore (1986–1988). During his career Stuart has successfully launched a number of businesses in the asset management industry and has overseen the growth of many of these businesses in the UK and Globally.
