A fund of funds is a scheme that has as its sole objective the investment in shares/units of other funds authorised in Ireland and/or other jurisdictions with investor protection regulations supervised by the regulatory authority similar to that which applies in Dublin.

Under the current Irish regulations only non-UCITS funds may be established as fund of funds.
